Recent Decking Projects
Decking Spruce up – 2020
This was actually some decking that we laid back in 2012; they had attempted to wood stain it over the years and taken out the greenhouse that it was built around so it looked a little odd with tall spindles and a banister.
The decking itself was still structurally sound so we jet washed all of the wood stain and built up algae from the decking boards and also the fence surrounding it. The next step was to cut down the posts and re-etch the tops of them; this was done as opposed to just replacing the posts as taking up the decking boards once they have been down can damage them.
We added in a new shorter post to the far left to balance out the space of the missing greenhouse, painted the the decking itself with 2 coats of grey anti-slip decking paint before drilling the posts and painting them with a darker grey wood stain.
Finally 28mm Polyhemp – Synthetic Hemp Rope was attached to the previously drilled holes.
